Jan 26 Whiskey

As per usual Whiskey and I headed to Reserve since the trails there are the least soggy and muddy after the rain. Whiskey still managed to get himself soaked though! We wandered the trails as usual and did our best to keep to ourselves since the other people out and about were all pretty grouchy. At one point we ended up by the pond and seeing lots of ducks floating about was just too much for Whiskey, he hopped right in with them and went for a swim!  Good thing it was warmer today!

Jan 26 Maddie, Lewie and Churchill

The pups were all in great moods today and such delightful walkers! Maddie and Churchill took their time sniffing around and enjoying the post rain smell around us. They chased a few squirrels and Churchill searched around for his cat but sadly didn’t find her. Lewie and I wandered up and down Fort and Hays, taking our time to meet nice folks out for a walk and sniff in every yard!

Jan 26 Abby and Lucy

Lucy was hiding from me today and it took me a few minutes to find her in one of the dog beds around upstairs. When I did find her she rolled on her back and waited for belly rubs! I gave her lots of lovin then coaxed her out of bed for a great walk. We all wandered up and down the hill as usual and they were both wonderful walkers!

January 26th – Jet

Jet and I had a pretty nice walk today. It was very wet outside, so we stuck to the streets and made our way down to Simplot Hill. As soon as we got there I let him off his leash and he took off like a rocket! Man that boy is fast! I tried calling him back, but as I crested the hill behind him I could see why he didn’t come. There were 2 other dogs playing ball and he quickly joined in. We played with Humphrey and Stella for about a half hour and then it was time to head back. The 3 dogs did so much running I figured it was just as good, if not better, then a hike in the soggy foothills. Our walk back went a bit faster then I expected so we had time to hang out in the back yard for a few minutes before it was time for me to say goodbye.

Jan 25 Whiskey

Whiskey and I had a great hike at Reserve today enjoying the dry, warmer weather. We took a different trail today and had lots of fun exploring then played with all the other dogs in the field before heading home!

Jan 25 Jake and Lua

Jake and Lua were both excited for their walk today and Jake was making his way out the gate before I even had him leashed up! We wandered all over the neighborhood and they were both fantastic walkers and seemed to be feeling just great (haven’t noticed any wobbles with Lua at all this week)!

Jan 25 Abby and Lucy

Abby and Lucy were both in a great mood today and to my surprise even Lucy seemed happy to be going on a walk! We wandered up the hill as usual and had a pretty quiet time, not bumping into any other pups today. They both spent a ton of time sniffing around and were ready to rest when they got back home.

Jan 25 Shilo

Shilo and I got off to a slow start since I couldn’t find his leash anywhere. Luckily I found one stashed away under my seats and we were off! We wandered up and down Harrison and he had a great time socializing with other neighborhood dogs out for walks as well, and finding big sticks to show off.

Jan 25 Max and Mr. T

Both boys walked with me today which I was so glad about! Mr. T was a little fussy at first but quickly forgot about that and was happy to be out and about. Both dogs were really interested in sniffing every bush in every yard we passed and Max lead us down the dirt trail a ways to explore!

Jet 1/25/12

Jet was very happy to see me and we had a nice loving greeting.  We leashed up and went for our walk in the neighborhood. We went up Cart Wright and walked through the subdivisions, Jet’s nose was to the ground the entire way.  Then we walked down to the Simplot hill and Jet was able to run around off leash for quite a while. I had a ball for Jet to retrieve but he would rather run and smell than play with the ball.  Hopefully we can go on the trails soon but alas the trails are off limits for now.  Good walk back to the house and sweet kiss and love bye-bye!
